The Office Team
Liz Shayler (Clerk)
I have lived in the village for about 20 years with both my children attending Churchill Academy.
My background is a degree in Ecology and Conservation followed by 19 years as a primary school teacher.
I first became involved with the Parish Council in 2008, when I became a Councillor. Then in 2016, I became Clerk. I love the variety of the job as no two days are ever the same. To find out more about what I do then watch our YouTube video 'The Role of the Parish Clerk'.
The Council has grown significantly in the last few years offering various events and initiatives to benefit the community. To find out more about what the Parish Council does then watch our YouTube video 'Welcome to Banwell Parish Council.

Sally-Ann Marks (Comms Officer)
I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and worked initially as a Designer, later moving in to teaching in Higher Education. Alongside this I founded my own business in 2017 creating educational resources. More recently I have worked as an advisor to small business owners helping them successfully market their products and services.
I have lived in Banwell for 15 years and both my sons attend Churchill Academy.
My role within the Parish Council is Marketing and Communications, which includes keeping the website and social media channels up to date and helping to promote local events and initiatives.

Amy Symonds
Having grown up in Weston-Super-Mare , for a long time I took for granted the riches North Somerset has to offer.
Since returning a few years ago, my connection to the community and pride in our unique landscape have really grown. This has motivated me to dedicate my efforts to making a positive impact locally, with a strong focus on preserving and improving our environment for the benefit of both wildlife and the community.
